ShinMaywa INSIGHT

[Product Introduction] Special Purpose Truck Division’s Refuse Compactors

We offer a wide variety of products that support social infrastructure.

We would like to introduce the refuse compactor (garbage truck).

Why are they called “refuse compactors”?

The word “refuse” means “dust” or “garbage.” The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism classifies vehicles used exclusively for transporting refuse (those that meet certain structural requirements) as “refuse compactors,” and different manufacturers give them different names, such as “refuse compactors” or “garbage collectors.”

The No. 1 market share in Japan

ShinMaywa’s refuse compactors boast the No. 1 market share in Japan for their superior usability and loading performance.
If you look at the refuse compactors operating around the city, you’ll find that more than 60% of them feature the ShinMaywa logo.

ShinMaywa presented Takarazuka City with a refuse compactor for environmental study!

In 2020, we presented Takarazuka City, the location of our Head Office, with a refuse compactor for environmental study featuring a transparent body as a token of our appreciation for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the business. At the presentation ceremony in July 2020, children from city nurseries observed how the fake waste they put in was compacted in the refuse compactor (measures were taken to avoid COVID-19 infection).

This refuse compactor for environmental study is now permanently installed at the Takarazuka Clean Center as a resource for local elementary school students to learn about the environment.

Contributing to SDGs by correctly sorting household waste!

Plastic bottles are recycled into raw materials for clothes and plastic products, and glass and glass bottles are recycled into materials for styrofoam, civil engineering materials, gardening materials, and so on. Recycling is an activity that reduces the burden on the environment, and everyone can take part. Let’s help create a sustainable society by sorting waste correctly according to the rules of our municipalities!
