Successful Remote Control of Aircraft Passenger Boarding Bridge at Singapore Changi Airport
On Thursday, August 24, 2023, Eisai and Changi Airport Group (CAG), which operates Singapore's Changi Airport (hereinafter referred to as "Changi Airport"), conducted the world's first remotely controlled aircraft passenger boarding bridge (hereinafter referred to as "boarding bridge") autonomous and fully automated operation (aircraft model selection*) on a commercial aircraft in actual operation, and succeeded in installing it. This remote control function is available from August 25, 2023.

- Using a system that is additionally equipped with our strengths of "aircraft model selection" and the newly developed "remote control function", we succeeded in the world's first attempt to automatically attach the boarding bridge to the door of a commercial aircraft in actual operation.
- In recent years, the shortage of ground handling personnel has become a problem, and there is a need to improve labor productivity.
- Equipped with the recently developed "remote control function", it is now possible for one operator to operate two boarding bridge at the same time, contributing to resolving the recent problem of manpower shortages at airports.
