ShinMaywa Industries, Ltd. (Head Office: Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture; President and CEO: Isogawa Tatsuyuki) has received an order from Vietur Joint Venture, a Turkish-Vietnamese consortium which is carrying out construction of the terminal building at Long Thanh International Airport, which is scheduled to open in Dong Nai Province, Vietnam, for all 64 aircraft passenger boarding bridge (hereinafter referred to as boarding bridge") to be operated at the airport.

This order was received as a result of proactive sales activities conducted in cooperation with our local sales partner, VTG EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGY JSC, and our proposal for a "fully automatic docking system" was highly evaluated. This system will be adopted for 12 of the 64 units. This is the first time that our company has received an official order for and introduced this system to Long Thanh Airport. About the "Fully Automated Docking System"

The system automates a series of tasks from driving the boarding bridge to the aircraft using AI-based image recognition technology developed for our boarding bridge in 2020 and attaching the closure (roof part to avoid rain and wind) to the aircraft door. , and the prevention of human error can be expected to improve safety.
The system has already been introduced on a trial basis at Osaka International Airport and Singapore's Changi Airport, and in June 2022, the system was put into actual operation at Osaka International Airport for the first time in Japan, and then at Changi Airport, in collaboration with Changi Airport Group, which operates the airport, in August 2023, the world's first aircraft in actual operation will be remotely controlled boarding bridge We have also succeeded in installing it by autonomous fully automatic operation (aircraft model selection is not required).


The production and installation of boarding bridge will be carried out in collaboration with ShinMaywa (Asia) Pte. Ltd., a ShinMaywa group company engaged in boarding bridge business, and ShinMaywa Aerobridge Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., as well as local partner companies, with all the bridges scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2026.
