Outline of the President's Message at the 2026 Induction Ceremony

On behalf of the ShinMaywa Group, I extend my heartfelt welcome to all of you joining the company today.

Today marks your first day as working professionals, and it is also my first day as President. I am delighted that my first duty is to offer this message of welcome. Let us take our first steps together, each with a sense of anticipation and determination.

I joined ShinMaywa about 40 years ago. Although my initial assignment differed from the department I had hoped for, I learned a great deal there and discovered the true appeal of work. I encourage each of you to approach your assignments with a positive mindset and to build your experience steadily.

Since our founding of business in 1920 as an aircraft manufacturer, our predecessors have overcome numerous challenges through technological capability and passion, building the foundation of our businesses as they stand today. As we pursue sustainable growth for the ShinMaywa Group, we must discern what should be preserved (tradision) and what must be transformed (Innovation) —and put both into practice.

The most important thing to uphold is the spirit of corporate principle (Clean   Sincere   Steady   Enterprising). We expect you all to understand and put into practice the true meaning of these principles.

At the same time, we must not be bound by past practices; some things must be boldly transformed in step with the changing times. Your fresh perspectives and passion—unconstrained by conventional thinking—will be vital to this effort. I hope each of you will contribute in your respective roles to creating new seeds of growth.

Finally, as members of the ShinMaywa Group taking your first steps today, I would like you to keep four important principles in mind as you embark on your careers:

1. Safety and health take precedence over everything.

2. Comply with laws and regulations.

3. Actively participate in creating new opportunities and new businesses.

4. Maintain the mindset that “Effort lasts a lifetime, the real challenge comes once, and opportunities appear in an instant,” a phrase attributed to Tsuyoshi Shinjo, Manager of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.

Today marks the start of the final year of our Medium-term Management Plan, SG-2026. We have set ambitious goals, but by working together to generate results—and by embodying our management philosophy and our brand promise, “Building a smoother tomorrow.”—we will strive to achieve these targets.

A company can fulfill its true purpose only when it earns the recognition and trust of society.
Let us bring this to life through our daily business activities and continue moving forward together.

I sincerely look forward to your growth and future success.
