First fully flat type aircraft passenger boarding bridge

The "Full Flat Type" is a barrier-free aircraft passenger boarding bridge that eliminates steps between "nested" tunnels and garters (grooves) on both sides of the tunnel floor, making it safe for wheelchair users to pass through. This provides a flat floor that can be used comfortably.

The newly delivered aircraft passenger boarding bridge is the airport's first barrier-free glass tunnel type with an open feel, and installation was completed at the end of May at the newly constructed 4A spot.
We have received a bulk order from Kansai Airports Co., Ltd. for a total of 100 aircraft passenger boarding bridge and their maintenance services for Osaka International Airport and Kansai International Airport, and this delivery is the first of these. For Osaka International Airport, we plan to deliver 30 aircraft passenger boarding bridge of the same model by September 2023.

We will continue to strive to develop products that are oriented toward safety, operability, and comfort, with the aim of further expanding our share of aircraft passenger boarding bridge.

1. Features of the new “full flat type”

Adopting universal design to provide a comfortable and safe walking space

フルフラットタイプ 航空旅客搭乗橋 (トンネルの中から)
  1. 1We changed the material of the floor of each tunnel, which was previously made of a single plate, and developed a new unique structure. This eliminates the difference in level between tunnels when expanding and contracting, making the floor inside the tunnel "full flat'' and eliminating the need for slopes with gangplanks that were previously required.
  2. 2The garters (grooves) inside the tunnels, which were previously installed on both sides of each tunnel floor, have been eliminated to ensure a safer and wider walking path.
