ShinMaywa Industries, Ltd. (President: Isogawa Tatsuyuki) has announced the launch of a new automatic wire processors called "Single End We have developed the single-end tinning and single-end crimping machine "THR202C" and will start selling it from mid-May.

In recent years, the market for consumer products such as home appliances and AV equipment has continued to expand in emerging countries, and demand for automobiles has expanded mainly in Europe, the United States, and China, and the total demand for wire harnesses worldwide has expanded.
Furthermore, in the automobile market, in addition to the electrification of cars themselves, the installation of electronic devices has progressed, such as electronic circuit control equipment for sensors and cameras required for active safety functions becoming standard equipment. The amount of wire harnesses used per machine is also increasing.
Against this background, there is a need for automatic wire processors to have improved performance, such as throughput and high-quality processing that can withstand use in precision equipment.

Automatic wire processors single-end tinning and single-end crimping machine "THR202C"

The "THR202C" single-end tinning and single-end crimping machine is a new machine developed for the consumer goods and automotive equipment markets that is dedicated to tinning one end of length-measured and cut wires and crimping a terminal to the other end. This model is equipped with a newly developed "twist/solder unit" that uses a rotating twist mechanism, greatly improving processing capacity and solder finish quality.

In terms of processing capacity, we have adopted a "rotary twisting method" in which the tips of the wires are gripped and rotated, and improved takt time has been achieved by improving the discharge mechanism for processed wires. Achieved maximum processing capacity (25% increase compared to previous models).
In addition, during tinning, high-precision servo control allows the wires to approach the solder bath at an almost vertical angle, dramatically improving the quality of the solder finish.

Going forward, we will continue to pursue productivity through the development of new technologies and improve quality, as well as enhance our after-sales service, and strive to expand our market share in the consumer goods field, just as we have in the automobile field.

(3) Reducing takt time by improving the "rotary twisting method" and discharge mechanism

  • By adopting the "rotary twisting method" in which the tip of the wire is grabbed and rotated, high-speed, high-quality twisting processing is achieved.
  • Achieved high speed by improving the operation and arrangement of the processed wire discharge mechanism
