ShinMaywa Industries, Ltd. held an induction ceremony at Head Office (Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture) on the morning of April 1, 2024. Below is an outline of the speech given by President and CEO Tatsuyuki Isogawa at the ceremony.

On behalf of ShinMaywa Group, I would like to sincerely welcome everyone to join our company.

Our company was founded in 1920 as an aircraft manufacturer. After the war, there was a time when all domestic aircraft manufacturing was prohibited and the survival of the company was in jeopardy, but our predecessors had a passion and a strong sense of mission to ``recover the country and protect the jobs of our employees.'' Using the technological capabilities he has cultivated himself, he has a history of developing and commercializing various products that contribute to Japan's recovery, and paving the way for the company's survival. This spirit of ``giving form to customers' ideas (products and services)'' is our company's tradition. We want everyone to understand our company's history and to firmly inherit our traditions.
This time, for the first time, new employees who graduated from universities and technical colleges were shown their placements along with their job offers. Therefore, while I think everyone has deepened their knowledge of the company before joining the company, they also understand that there is a big difference between ``what you know well'' and ``what you can do.'' I want them to be able to do it. I want everyone to realize that when they are in a position to instruct their juniors, they will inherit not only the company's technology and know-how, but also its spirit.

In addition, what I want you to be especially aware of after joining the company is to be someone who can think that mistakes and failures may be caused by themselves. In any case, it is important to have a humble attitude and treat mistakes as personal, and to grow into a person with high interpersonal skills who has the courage and integrity to pursue the cause and make improvements on their own. Would like to have .

Companies have a mission to grow sustainably. To achieve this, it is important for employees to have common objectives and goals over a long period of time, and to work as one in their daily work to achieve them. Our company has a `` Management philosophy'' and a `` Long-term vision'' that shows what we want to be in 2030, and as a means to realize these, we are working based on a long-term management plan. We hope that everyone will align with us and take on the challenge of growing our business and increasing our corporate value.

Lastly, I would like to mention something important: safety and compliance. Always remember that "safety comes first" and always follow the rules and procedures. Similarly, in order to gain trust as a company, thorough compliance (legal compliance) is essential. What we take for granted on a daily basis or what we do unconsciously is not necessarily correct. If you have even the slightest doubt, it is important to be prepared to ask those around you.

I want you to start your life from today with a feeling of gratitude to the people who helped you until you entered the workforce.
