Graduated from the Department of Aerospace Engineering. In my previous job, I was in charge of structural design using 3D CAD.
Joined ShinMaywa Industries in 2023. Engaged in structural design, manufacturing, testing, and other prototyping activities for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Reasons for joining the company
What are the attractions of working in Aircraft Division?
The excitement and emotion of seeing the aircraft we designed take to the skies for the first time is something truly special and irreplaceable. Creating original products is, in a sense, about giving shape to what we love (ideas and passions). We find great satisfaction in the process of accumulating optimal solutions within the constraints of societal needs, the mission we set for ourselves, and manufacturing limitations, and completing it as a single aircraft. Another appealing aspect of working at the factory is being able to learn from and collaborate with professionals from other departments involved in aircraft manufacturing.
Drones are expected to be used in applications closely related to daily life, such as logistics, weather observation, and resource surveys. We look forward to continuing our research and development to deliver products that benefit society, and one day seeing the aircraft we designed being put to good use.
Starting from zero knowledge
That's why the joy of growth is so great.

M.T.
Graduated from the Graduate School of Engineering. Previously worked in a position related to electrical wiring. Joined ShinMaywa Industries, Ltd. in 2025.
I was involved in the design of power supply systems for unmanned aircraft.
What is your current job responsibilities?
Currently, ShinMaywa Industries is involved in a research and development project for unmanned aerial vehicles led by the Cabinet Office.
My role is to accurately calculate and summarize the power load throughout the entire operation of unmanned aerial vehicles and to design the power supply system, including the generators and batteries installed on the aircraft. This is a critical area that directly impacts the safety and reliability of the aircraft system, and I feel a great sense of responsibility and fulfillment in it.
In our daily work, we place the utmost importance on close communication. In the development of new models, the specifications of the installed equipment change frequently, which necessitates a revision of the power supply design. Therefore, we make it a point to continuously share information with the person in charge of each piece of equipment and to always work with a shared understanding.
What are the attractions of working in Aircraft Division?
The appeal of this job is being able to see the things you design take shape and witness the entire process until completion. We pilot and test the aircraft we develop ourselves. The feeling of seeing the aircraft I helped create actually fly in the sky is unique and special. When I first joined the company, I had very little specialized knowledge and often felt anxious, but through daily study, I gradually became able to participate in discussions and form my own opinions. Moments when I realize my own growth are also what makes the job rewarding.
Furthermore, the ease of taking flexible hours and paid leave, allowing for a work style that suits one's lifestyle, is another attractive aspect. I feel that I'm able to continue taking on challenges precisely because I have an environment that allows me to concentrate on my work.
My goal going forward is to acquire knowledge and skills that will impress my superiors. I want to further hone my practical skills, such as circuit assembly and evaluation testing, and grow into an engineer who can be involved in more advanced designs.

Graduated from the Department of Intelligent Mechanical Engineering. After working for an automobile manufacturer, joined ShinMaywa Industries in 2014. Currently engaged in the development of new molding technologies utilizing new materials.
What is your current job responsibilities?
We are working on developing new molding technologies utilizing thermoplastic composite materials, which differ from the composite materials that have been mainly used in aircraft structural components. In addition to technical development such as planning test schedules and analysis and evaluation, I am also broadly involved in project management, taking on a leading role in the team from both a technical and management perspective. Currently, I am particularly focusing on formulating research roadmaps. I feel that this work is extremely important because if the direction of research and development is not set, the entire project may go in an undesirable direction. I strive to consider how to commercialize research results by conducting repeated interviews with customers and experts, and to draw up the optimal path.
What are the attractions of working in Aircraft Division?
