History
Founding
In 1920, Kawanishi Aircraft (now ShinMaywa Industries) completed its first aircraft, the Kawanishi Type 1, just ten months after its founding. The following year, it earned high acclaim at a civil aviation competition, becoming a symbol of the company's engineering excellence and its principle of self-reliance.
