Thank you for visiting ShinMaywa's Website. I am Tadashi Kaneki, president of ShinMaywa Industries, Ltd.
In April 2010, ShinMaywa Industries established the new Brand Statement, "Brighten Your Future."
The "Your" in this statement refers to society in general, as well as the entire range of our stakeholders, including customers, shareholders, and employees, who all mean a great deal to the company.
By adding "Your" to the words "Brighten" and "Future," we express through this statement our resolve to contribute to a better tomorrow, and our desire to play an indispensable role in society.
I consider this statement to be a "pledge" to our stakeholders. Last year, ShinMaywa Industries celebrated the 60th anniversary of its foundation. However, I have repeatedly asked myself if the company has been more focused in recent years on "defense" and "maintenance of the status quo" rather than "growth" and "progress," compared with what it was in its founding days. I was fraught with a deep sense of concern that the pioneering spirit and ambition for originality of the earlier days have been reduced over time.
Then it occurred to me that we should not let the 60-year milestone that we reached last November be a mere transit point, but rather the starting point for a new ShinMaywa, and that all of the employees should unite as one so that we can respond to external changes and sustain the growth of the company. In a bid to realize these aspirations, we established the new Group Philosophy in January 2010. I firmly believe that if each employee works in accord with this philosophy then we can maximize our collective strength, thus allowing us to render services to society, which is a universal mission for any business entity. The new Brand Statement "Brighten Your Future" epitomizes the goal that we all aim for.
I hope that, under the new Group Philosophy and Brand Statement, the ShinMaywa Group will once again come together as one, tapping into its diverse business portfolio that has been developed since its foundation. Our goal is to become a group of enterprises where employees take pride in being a part of the ShinMaywa Group.
I have renewed my determination to work hard so that our customers, shareholders and other stakeholders may recognize us as a "truly valuable business group." Please count on the ShinMaywa Group as we set out on this new journey.
